”Striking Out Cancer"
FAYETTEVILLE, N.C.- This season, the SwampDogs teamed up with the Blood and Cancer Clinic to put on "Striking Out Cancer night". The event took place during the June 23rd game at J.P. Riddle Stadium. The SwampDogs wore pink jerseys, which were auctioned off following the game, with all proceeds benefiting the Karen Chandler Trust.
The Blood and Cancer Clinic, P.A. also had Mario Williams, former NC State football player, and current Houston Texan, in attendance to support The Blood and Cancer Clinic and the SwampDogs with this event. Dr. Devasthali, Dr. Nazir and the staff at The Blood and Cancer Clinic were extremely influential in organizing this great night at J.P. Riddle Stadium.
The SwampDogs wanted to team up with an organization to do their best to help in the fight against cancer.(www.goswampdogs.com)
"4th Annual Karen Chandler Trust Beach Music Festival"
This year The Blood and Cancer Clinic was one of the presenting sponsors of the Karen Chandler Trust which is dedicated to assisting local cancer patients with expenses related to food, shelter, utilities, transportation and medical treatments.
